Swimwear Sizing FAQ

How do I measure myself for swimwear?
Measure your chest/bust at the fullest point, your waist at the narrowest point, and your hips at the widest point, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight. Compare your measurements to the brand-specific size chart, as sizing varies between Funkita, Speedo, Arena, Funky Trunks and others.

Do swimwear brands size differently?
Yes. Australian, US and European brands use different size systems, and racing suits are cut much tighter than training swimwear. Always check the specific brand's chart rather than assuming your usual size. Swimwear Shack lists a dedicated size chart for every brand we stock.

Should I size down for a racing suit?
Racing and tech suits (kneeskins, jammers) are designed for a compressive, second-skin fit and usually feel much tighter than training swimwear. Most swimmers take their true competition size rather than sizing down further; check the brand's racing chart, which is separate from its training chart.
