Racesuit Care Guide

  1. Putting on your racesuit

    1. It is very important NOT to pull on the thin areas of the race suit, this will have a much likely chance of ripping the suit.
    2. Instead pull on the seams as they are the strongest part of the race suit.
  2. Fingernails & sharp objects

    1. If you have sharp nails, it is best to either clip them short or NOT to dig them into the suit when putting on or taking off.
  3. Immediately wash with cold water after use

    1. All competitive race suits are NOT chlorine resistant.
    2. Please hand rinse your race suit right after racing with cold water only , DO NOT USE SOLUTIONS OR DETERGENTS.
    3. Fast deterioration to the suit is caused by chlorine damage and detergent chemicals.
    4. Do Not wash in the washing machine.
  4. For competition use only

    1. The less time race suits have spent in chlorine the better.
    2. Once the suit is in chlorine, the timer starts ticking.
    3. If you have older race suits to wear for suited training session, we recommend using those before your newer race suits.
  5. Multiple races in one day

    1. If you are racing all or most of the day, it is important to try rinse your suit straight after each race.
    2. If there is a shower available, rinse out thoroughly with COLD WATER.
    3. Heat & hot water will damage your race suit.
  6.  Re rinse your race suit with cold water

    1. Once you have rinsed your race suit straight after using it at the pool, repeat again when you get home incase you have not got it all out!
  7. After rinsing

    1. Lay your race suit flat on a fresh dry towel or over a chair.
    2. Keep the race suit out of direct sunlight.
    3. After rinsing your race suit in cold water, wrap it up in a fresh towel or microfibre towel.
    4. That towel you have been drying yourself with all day is full of chlorine.
  8. Boys Jammer drawstrings

    1. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN DRAWSTRINGS on jammer race suits.
    2. Over tightening can cause the drawstring to break or damage the race suits fabric.
    3. If you have broken your drawstring, the best thing to do is take it to a dress maker.
